A water tanker was set on fire near Sakhi Hassan in Karachi following a hit-and-run incident in Nazimabad, according to local police reports. The incident began when the water tanker struck a pedestrian in the Nazimabad area and attempted to flee the scene. Eyewitnesses reported that several citizens pursued the speeding vehicle on motorcycles. As the tanker sped away, it lost control and overturned a short distance from the site of the original accident. Onlookers quickly rushed to the scene, broke the vehicle's windows, and managed to extract the driver. Some individuals allegedly assaulted the driver, but he ultimately managed to escape. Following the driver’s escape, an angry crowd set the overturned tanker on fire. Authorities responded swiftly and managed to extinguish the blaze. Police are investigating the matter further and searching for the driver involved in the incident.
